In August of 2013, as satellite of the Mathematical Congress of the Americas edition 2013, the first Brazil-Mexico meeting on singularities took place in Querétaro. This congress led an international congress on singularities between the two countries being held every two years. In 2015 the second Brazil-Mexico meeting on singularities took place in Salvador, Bahia, Brazil, with the third meeting following in 2017 at the Instituto de Matematicas, UNAM, Unidad Cuernavaca, in Cuernavaca, Mexico, as a satellite conference of the 3rd PRIMA Congress 2017. For the fourth meeting on singularities (BCM-Singularities) Chile has been invited to participate as a permanent member, and the conference took place in the "Instituto de Matemática y Física" at the University of Talca, in Talca, Chile.
The fifth meeting will be held on Federal University of Espirito Santo, in Vitoria (Brazil), from February 20th to 26th, 2022, together with the 2nd Meeting on Foliations and Singularities.
